1934 250cc D.S.1

This Stevens 250cc bike is part of the Marston Heritage Trust collection of Black Country made machines, on display at the Black Country Living Museum. The museum is located at Dudley in the West Midlands and houses a fascinating and eclectic collection that ranges from historic buildings to items which reflect the industrial heritage of the heart of industrial Britain.
The Wolverhampton Museum of Industry's website covers a great deal of the products manufactured in the area including a very detailed description of the motorcycles produced by the Stevens brothers.
The B.C.L.M. has two machines that were made by the Stevens at Retreat Street, Wolverhampton. A three wheeled light commercial van and this D.S.1 motorbike. It was bought at auction at the Stafford Classic Bike Show some years ago and restored by the team at the Marston Heritage Trust.
